We’ll have two Free Lunch Tuesdays and the Third Sunday Pot-Luck
to have some time of fellowship with one another and others.
Within the month of March we have the “World Day Prayer” (3/5),
a Sunday to “Celebrate the Gifts of Women” with the PC(USA) (3/7),
and Daylight Savings Time will begin (3/15) - more daylight in which
to deal with any snowJ [Check the Farmers’ Almanac - our biggest
snow event is to happen in March!]
The whole “point” of observing Lent is, of course, the journey to the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord (and, again, remember … you need to prepare for both to get the most from your journey). I’m going to provide in this newsletter (on a separate page) the Lectionary readings for the first seven days of March. Hereafter, I’ll put them in our bulletins (and on the web page).
As your pastor, I encourage you to follow the readings as faithfully as possible. They will enrich your Lenten experience and make Easter the most incredible day! -- Billie
