Brothers in Christ Gospel Group Performance

Our sense of mission is in two areas.  First, we have made a commitment to peacemaking.  God's Covenant with creation is given as grace and peace.  Peace is the wholeness and community in which human beings are meant to live.  Although all people are sinners, God continually renews the Covenant through our Lord Jesus Christ.  God's peace heals, comforts, strengthens, and frees.  Responding to this good news, the church goes into the world to point to and to become a part of God's peacegiving.  God's peace is offered wherever there is brokenness-in individual lives, families, congregations, communities, nations and creation.  In God's Covenant, the world and the church experience wholeness, security, and justice.

Second, we are organized to serve our community.  Our church offers a pre-school for three and four year olds which is in session from September through May.  Childcare is provided five days a week all year long.  We have special ministry to the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center and to the Cecil County Men's Shelter.  Our building is used by Girl Scout groups,  Alcohol Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous, as well as other community groups.  We have an active Sunday School which is in session during the school year, and an active Youth Group.  The Solid Rock Players, open to children and adults sixth grade on up, performs at several worship services throughout the year and offers a dynamic message to all of us through singing and drama acting.  In November, the turkey supper offers great food and fellowship with other members of this church, as well as our community.  In January, chili is cooked up, which is the best tasting chili in Cecil County, and sold to the community, usually on Super Bowl Sunday.  Throughout the year, the church holds different functions which are advertised and open to the community.

We have a beautiful fellowship hall which is available to rent for meetings, functions, etc.  Please call the church office if interested, 410-658-6366.

We have an active church and invite anyone to come and visit our church.  We will make you feel at home with our friendliness.
